אמיר מזרחי, מלגאי הקרן, זכה בתחרות חיבור מטעם המרכז הבינתחומי הרצליה
Amir says: "The research proposal competition I participated in was done with the purpose of finding a solution to a problem in the Middle East. I took upon myself to challenge the issue of lack of economic prosperity in the Arab world, mainly in Egypt. For the paper I came up with a new idea for a venture capital platform that will connect between young entrepreneurs and potential investors. The platform uses modern tools such as social media to decrease the cultural taboo that exists around the idea of investing in people who are not relatives in the Arab society. The paper was read and judged by distinguished members of the IDC Herzliyah, among which was the founder and president of the IDC Mr. Uriel Reichman. The competition is founded and financed by Mr. Neville Shulman, a British mountaineer, author and Explorer. I received runner up in the competition and as a price received 500 dollars and an official letter and award of recognition."
